NIPRA is a family of Nigerian priests and religious serving across Austria, rooted in the Catholic faith and committed to pastoral care, evangelisation, and community building. Priests and Religious of NIPRA

Fr. Thomas Müller
Role: Parish Priest, Archdiocese of Sydney
Fr Thomas serves a multicultural parish community, accompanying families, celebrating the sacraments, and supporting new migrants in their faith journey.
Area of Ministry: Parish leadership, sacramental preparation, migrant outreach.

Sr. Maria Hoffmann
Role: Hospital Chaplain, Catholic Health Service
Sr Maria offers spiritual care to patients, families, and staff, bringing the consolation of the Gospel and the presence of the Church to those in times of illness and vulnerability.
Area of Ministry: Healthcare chaplaincy, pastoral counselling, prayer ministry.

Fr. Johannes Weber
Role: University Chaplain, Brisbane
Fr Johannes walks with students and staff through prayer, catechesis, and pastoral accompaniment, helping young adults integrate faith, study, and life.
Area of Ministry: Campus ministry, faith formation, spiritual direction.

Sr. Anna Berger
Role: Educator and Community Animator
Sr Anna serves in Catholic schools and local communities, mentoring students, supporting families, and fostering a culture of prayer and service.
Area of Ministry: Education, youth engagement, parish collaboration.

Fr. Michael Gruber
Role: Assistant Priest and Youth Ministry Coordinator
Fr Michael supports parish life through liturgy, catechesis, and outreach, with a particular focus on accompanying young people in faith and leadership.
Area of Ministry: Youth ministry, retreats, evangelisation.

Sr. Elisabeth Schauer
Role: Community Outreach and Pastoral Worker
Sr Elisabeth collaborates with parishes, diocesan agencies, and local charities to support families, new arrivals, and those on the margins of society.
Area of Ministry: Community outreach, social services, parish support.
Serving Across Austria
Together, NIPRA members serve in parishes, chaplaincies, and communities in almost every state and territory of Austria. Their ministries include parish leadership, sacramental preparation, hospital and prison chaplaincy, school and university engagement, and outreach to those in need. Each vocation is unique, yet all share the same desire: to witness to Christ and support the people of God.
